A group of committed Christians from Trinity/Shepherd's Gate/Faith Lutheran Churches and beyond are going on a medical mission to Haiti March 17-24, 2013. The purpose of this blog is to disseminate and retrieve information, help family members and loved ones to stay up-to-date with what is going on, post thoughts and questions about our 60 days of devotions as well as for each of us to get to know one another a little bit before the trip takes place.
These were some of the people in attendance at our last meeting on Sunday, January 6. I don't know very many by name yet, but I'm Suzie Martin, bottom row middle with the orange scarf. I attend Shepherd's Gate and have taught high school French for many years and led many students to France with family stays and have gone on a mission trip to Tanzania, Africa and one to Haiti through Compassion International in 2005. I'm fluent in French and can converse in Spanish. I'm married to Victor and we have 4 adult children. My life verse is 1 Peter 3:15....Always be prepared to give an answer to everyone who asks you to give the reason for the hope that you have. I love photography, cooking, reading, computers, music, hiking, movies and adventures. Living a life for Jesus is the greatest adventure we can pursue!
Please bookmark this web address. What to do now? You can make comments on the blog, ask questions, write about what you are feeling as you do your devotionals, etc. If you email me your photo (or ID yourself in the above composite) and send me a short bio about yourself, I'll post it so that we can get to know you. Ke bon dye beni ou (may God bless you....in Haitian kreyol).
